How do you choose?

There are many types of hosting servers, but it is about choosing the one that suits you best.  If you choose a server hosting package that provides more than your needs, you’ll waste money and resources. Every type of server has its own advantages and features but it is about choosing one that will give you the most out of the benefits that you need.

Cloud Hosting:
Cloud hosting is the most popular type of web hosting for websites & small businesses. The reason behind this is that shared web hosting is affordable. What this means is that you do not have to pay much for your web hosting plan but you will get what you need that fits within your budget. In cloud hosting the service is shared by many different customers. Which means you may share resources like disk space, web space, process power, memory & etc from a common server.

Dedicated Server:
It would be ideal to choose dedicated hosting if you have a large business that has a lot of traffic. A large business requires a website that needs plenty of resources such as web space, memory, disk space and processing capacity.

How do you choose the best hosting package?

A very important aspect to consider that many overlook is customer service. Does your hosting company offer 24/7 support?  What happens if your server crashes in the middle of the night?  Whom do you call?  Don’t forget to find out what each companies Hosting SLA Policies are.

The price of the package is also important factor to consider but it is definitely not the main factor. Figure out whether the package covers your needs and has reliable customer service.  If it doesn’t, you will more than likely lose money if your server stops functioning because you don’t have sufficient resources or the technical support to promptly work on it.  Remember, like at BTInet, we can customize your hosting package to your needs and it is ALWAYS expandable to add more memory, disk space and etc.
