How to set up BTInet email on iphone or ipad

Not sure how to set up your email on your ipod, iphone and more?  Check out our easy instructions below.

Mac mail can be setup with IMAP using ( or POP using (

  • The incoming IMAP server is using port 143
  • The incoming POP server is using port 110
  • The outgoing server SMTP is using port 587

To edit these settings Start Mail and select Accounts from this menu, select your BTInet account on the left panel.


Under server settings ensure that the following settings are correct.

  • The Outgoing Mail Server is :
  • The Server port is : 587
  • Check Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
  • The Authentication is : Password


Once the Server Settings are correct you can click the OK button. You then will be back to the accounts dialogue box. From where we want to go to the Advanced tab.

  • Advanced Account Information
  • The Advanced tab allows you to configure you incoming mail.
  • Enter the following for a POP account
  • Port: 110
  • Make sure the Use SSL box is not checked
  • Authentication Password


Check Mail and accept click ok on the dialogue box that appears.
